how to properly jack motor? (and plz insert all hooker super comp install tips here)
k ive just about got my manifolds out, y pipe is off, not exactly sure what to do with the egr but...
anyways ive heard it really helps to jack the motor. ive got the car off the ground, would like to jack the motor up to slide in the new headers. how far up can i jack it without tearing stuff up? if im installing the headers on the passenger side, do i lift the passenger side up and do it from the top or bottom? its 10:00am and id like to get this done by 6:00 if at any way possible
also if anyone has any tips on getting the headers in, can you give them to me i need all the help i can get thanks!

I've never done it but from what I've heard you're better off attaching the headers to the collector first. Lift the engine as much as possible, just watch for parts being pulled when you're doing it. Then slowly lower it back in place fitting the headers in place as you go.

WTF???? jacking motor for headers lol
hey guys,
all you need to do is get a 2 ton floor jack abd jack on the k member directcly underneath the oil pan. raise it up really high like 2 feet and then throw stands under there. after the stands are there, block the rear wheels and insert everything from the bottom. remove the starter and transmission inspection cover for the passenger sides, also the ALT.
for driver remove the steering knuckle and thats its. do the install with no plugs in the heads. use teflon tape o nthe bolts for the headers!!!!!!!!
