I'm wondering how safe it would be to spray 100 shot of nitrous on an LT1 with stock internals. The motor has 86,000 miles and will only be sprayed at the track once a month and maybe on the street very ocassionally.

I've been spraying mine now for aobut 2-3 months. I dont do alot of racing so i've only emptied one bottle so far. I have a dry kit that comes with an inline fuel pump booster. I'm soon getting some better fuel injectors so I dont have to worry about one or some of them locking up on me. But with a 100 shot I dont think fuel pressure will be raised enough to lock them down. Just run the best gas, get your safety switchses depending if your kit doesnt come with any. Mine has ran great. The only dowside is that it makes your car n/a feel sluggish

get a wet kit and you'll be fine up to 150hp shot with stock fuel system and timing...

I ran the 100hp shot for a while and upped to 150 a couple months ago. No problems so far.

I have 8X,000 on my car too...

I think it's pretty safe but you should get it on a wide band dyno to check your tuning. You want to make sure you are not running lean. Run some race gas, the right plugs and you'll probably be fine.
There are guys one this board that have ran it for years with out a problem and there are other guys who have lost their engine pretty fast.

I remember. What's up man. As for the crew, it's still there, but a lot of our cars were down or impounded and have not met or gone out together in a while.

A buddy of mine was spraying a 175 wet shot on his 95 Vert. He did add a booster pump to the fuel system. It ran great for the 3 months he was still in the area but I don't know how long it lasted since I haven't talked to him in a couple of years.
I am pretty sure the 175shot is really pushing it though. I plan on running a 150 shot on my LT1.

How much are you asking for your LT4 heads?
