hp gain or loss goin from solid set up to hydr?

just like it says. i was thinkin about goin to a hydr. set up because i want something i can drive more often and have a good time w/ out worrying when i need to set my valves. also i was wondering what the biggest hydr. cam they make? i know i'll have to get a custom one, just lookin for numbers is all.

Wow, is that 278/282 degrees @ .050? What kind of numbers were you laying down/rpm range of your current combo. How fast did this beast go?

I'd say unless you're racing it a bunch, adjusting the valves every oil change would be enough. They're not really that much maintenance.

Not everybody adjusts them every oil change first off... do a little investigating and youll see. But for a street/strip car Id never go SR because of the hassle and extra valvetrain noise associated with that kinda setup.

True, but you gotta hear this Xtreme roller. It's .014/.016 and very quiet. I was really amazed.

How long can it possibly take to adj. the valves? fstenuf, what kind of RPM does that thing rev to? Man that seems like a lot of duration, even for a solid.
