Hydrolock situation?

kinda searched around didnt find much..well long story short car was in bout 6-7inches (est) of water and just shut off. i pushed car onto dry land and would start, stater would click..butno cranking...so today towed car home, pulled the few plugs and manually cranked the motor then tried starteing car up moments later, after few click finally fired up..bunch of water came out exhaust and car ran pretty well...question is

1. anything else i should check, now that it seems to be running good? (besides changing oil, and cleaning my filters because of muddy water.
2. do u think any type of rust could form if any water is left
3. think opti is ok, if my car seems to be running/idling fine..

hope this mishap doesnt put more problems into my hands in the future.

Re: Hydrolock situation?

If it runs, you're lucky. Get the oil and filters changed and pray. O2 sensors may have been affected. Any flash rust won't last long after the engine is running.
