i bet you cant help lol im screwed

I have a 97 camaro that i love to death.I blew the crank with the lt4 kit so i bought a new engine from some guy on craigs list and it does not have a crank sensor i have all the original engine accesorys including timing cover and the original trans 4l60 and have headers with exhaust ,a\c delete pully egr block off kit now what do i do and who can help thanks

take all that stuff off your old motor and use it on the new..

The Crank sensor mounts in the timing cover which you already have from the 97 and yes the timing covers are interchangeable. Don't forget the reluctor ring that slides on the front of the crank. No worries .

Actually, you want to use that timing cover anyhow if the old motor was from a 93/94 (unvented opti).
That way you can keep the rest of the components from the 97 car.
(opti, timing set, etc ...)

Do install a new timing chain though.

so i can use all the 97 parts on the 93 motor including the mass air flow sensor just swap the 97 stuff on to the younger engine cause i dont have the 97 heads or intake any elecrtical problem gonna get me

If its a 93/94 you can't put the 95-97 vented Opti on it unless you change to the 95-97 timing set, the 96-97 timing cover and the 95-97 camshaft with the correct diameter hole in for the vented Opti pilot shaft.

how do i find out what year the engine is cuz if its a 95 or older i should be all set. and i lost the guide for the back of the water pump that connects to the cam. and can i grind down the pin to fit the non vented opti with the new timing chain set. all other connection termanals should fit???
