Did you ever look at the front of the cam and determine if it will even work in the LT1? If it is designed from a billet for a regular small block as the part number suggests, it's not going to work and all these questions will be moot.

That cam is not for the faint of heart!! You will DEFINITELY need a tune and an LT4 knock module. It runs on a 110LSA meaning it will sound like popcorn popping at idle. If you do not have headers or a minimum of 3.42 gears you will have to rev it to 1800 just to take off. You will also need a feeler gauge to accurately set the lash, I personally think and do not get offended you should go with hydraulic roller instead. Unless you know exactly what you are doing here is my advice if you do not care,
Prepare for the car to be down at least a week and a half.
get the pcm tuned.
install the cam and also get headers and the heads redone
Then you take advantage of the cam, otherwise money spent foolishly since the headers cannot dispel the exhaust good enough,
the stock heads cannot put the gas fast enough into the cylinders due to the design/runner cfm.
If you plan on heads then wait til you get them and have them flow matched to the cam along with a set of Hooker LT's and you will be more then happy.

You might be thinking of the CC306...this is a CS306...different cam...you can get a CC306 from Thunderracing and the most it has is 112 LSA... I can get a picture, however I took it to a couple dealerships, and a couple speed shops and their employees all verified usage on an LT1.

its a m6 and it has 4.10s and i have ported a polished haeds (not complete still need new valves in them) and will have long tubes. and i do all my own tuning now. (but this cam will be a little differnet to tune thats for sure.
