I have the 2 series carrier, will the 3 series gears work in it?

I have the 2 series carrier, will the 3 series gears work in it?
Im buying some 3.73s tomorrow, my car has the series 2 carrier and i want to know if i have to buy the gears for that carrier or can i buy the ones that are made for the 3 series carrier, what would be the diffrence in the 2 carriers?

You either need "thick" gears, or a gear spacer. Call up Speed Inc. and ask them for a gear spacer. They're about $45.

I would just do it right and buy the gears designed for your carrier. I would highly recommend Strange Gears.
