If you have a muffler that isnt loud enough for you, if it has fiber glass packing or anything dump some gas in the muffler and set it on fire, i talked to a man who used to work at midas in the 60's he said this was always done to glasspacks and fat mufflers, so im sure it could still work today im comtemplating on doing it to my mufflers on my true duals. They say it sounds so much better and it will still be somewhat quite, just an idea for those who hate how their muffler sounds right now!

I don't know man, it sounds pretty ghetto to me. I think I'd just buy some nice mufflers instead.
Advice to anyone who tries this. Keep a fire extinguisher near by.

if you wire a spark plug into the gas tank, it will give you a nice boost*

Im not sure, do thrush muffler have fiberglass in them i want to try it!

That was a pretty common thing to do in the 60s. You know back when they didn't have a whole lot of aftermarket exhaust to choose from. No real need to do it these days.

cheap and it might satisfy your need/want for a better sound if it works itll save you the cost of a new one and possibly installation if you dont do it yourself

I have heard the same thing before but with a different variation.. motor oil! If you are thinking of it use that.. gas plus enclosed space = boom.

i would do it outside in the drive way or something after i take the mufflers off, i just wonder if it would do me any good because im not sure if i have fiber glass packing or not or just steel ?
