I Need Help Asap!!!!!!!! Thanks
I have a 1996 Camaro with a T-56. Well the problem is I dont know if it's the engine or the transmission so I will post it in both. The clutch feels fine. Well I start the engine up and then release the clutch. When I put it in gear and try to go it wont and I release the clutch and the car will rev and not stall. So in other words It wont move at all, I'm thinking either the clutch fork is engaging but not releasing the pressure plate or something in there is screwed or just fell off. Any suggestions? Thanks

you allready posted this same problem in another thread. You should just stick with one thread otherwise its too hard to follow your problem. In your other thread you said you just got it back from somewhere. Where did you get it back from and what did you get done to it? This sounds kinda weird but sounds like the drive shaft isn't connected! That, or the clutch isn't engageing AT ALL. If it was engaging a little you would either feel it or smell it sliping. Need more info on the history of your car i guess.

I posted the same exact thing but I lost the thread but I started this one but now I'll keep to this one. The problem I dont think is the drive shaft, I wonder if it's still there. It is connected but you can hear some noise in the bellhousing.

You could do this quick experiment. Park it on a hill and put it in gear. With the parking brake OFF it should not roll. If it rolls, the clutch is not engaging the flywheel. But you can't drive the thing so try this.
Put it in gear with the P brake off. Raise one rear wheel off the ground, leave the other touching the ground. If you can now spin the wheel that is off the ground by hand, the clutch is not engaged to the flywheel.
Since the clutch is hydraulic, you would never know if the pressure plate is bad since the feeling at the pedal is always the same. I would put money on either the clutch disc is hung up on a corroded tranny input shaft or the clutch fork is bent or broken.
Was the car always in Dallas since new? I have a reason for asking.
