i swaped rearends, now clucking noise from the back!!

Unhappy i swaped rearends, now clucking noise from the back!!

i just put a 93 rearend on my 94z A4, and now everytime while i'm driving a loud clucking noise comes from the back, does anyone know whats up with that, its driving me crazy, i did install eibach pro springs, and i asked they guy at the shop if its possible the springs are lose he said no, do i need to change anything to complete the swap, i'm i missing something, or they exaxtly the same rearend..

did you switch the driveshaft or is that the same?

when does it clunk, does it only do it when you put a load on it, does it do it when you are just cruising at a steady speed?

no i still have the same drive shaft, and it does it while i'm just cruising, coming to stops, hitting bumps the most, and putting it from D to R and R to D..

need help please, i'm going crazy..

Your control arms bolts and or panhard rod bolts are loose. Mine did the same thing.

ok, checked control arms and panhard, they have a little play but not much, and i also checked springs, all am wondering is would the 93 rearend fit a 94, or was it a big mistake from the begining??

Naah, after I broke my rear in the 96, I put a 93 TA rear end under my car. You really gotta crank down on the bolts.

so 93 rearend would fit, its just need to be really tight.. is that right????
