Angry i want my car back guys!!!

heres the story, i have just done a reconditionsing on my head(seats, valves grided, everything) once i got the car runnning it ran fine on the way home but about 5 minutes from my house it started lacking in power and studdering in different RPM ranges. it also is hard to start sometimes, it really decides if it starts fast or slow. when it is is just idling in the driveway it seems fine, but if i blurp the throttle or rev it up it will drop down to 400-500 RMs and then kick back up to normal idle if i doesnt completely staull out. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT PLEASE RELPY OR E-MAIL. i just want my lt1 back for the summer!

Who did the work? If you had anything like a loose plug wire that came off then it could be a simple fix. What all has been done to the car? You can add a signature so everyone knows what your mods and if its an automatic or stick. Do you have a check engine light? If you paid someone to do the work i would take it right back and let them troubleshoot it.

i did the work at my school shop and everything is to specs. i have burnt through a few wires and i keep having to rewire it but even when they are all hooked up it still does the same thing. no check engine light except right before it dies and check gauges light comes on but none of my guages say anything abnormal?

If your SES light is coming on right before it dies you should have the code pulled and it will likely narrow it down for you.

If the only thing done is the heads and it ran fine before and for a while after i would check your work and see if anything is loose or broken. It is the most obivious spot to start. Everything you did should be double checked.

already have. the rockers are to specs and the lash is perfect. hooked up a compression guage to all cylinders and everything came up perfect. im hoping my headers burnt through a spark plug at the boot or the opti is bad. thats the next place that im planning on checking out. does that sound like it would cause the stubble or miss?

Definitely check the opti, they're notorious for going bad. When mine went out, it had the same kind of stumble/miss that you're describing. Also, something else simple to check: I know you mentioned having put new plug wires on the car, did you check to be sure you had the firing order right?

i keep on cleaning the MAF everytime i take it off because i know that i piece of dust can throw those damn things off. im going to go after the opti next and if that is bad im just going to put on the LTCC system because this will be the second time that the opti went out. and i know my firing order is correct because it ran fine right when i started it up and on the way home i felt when the problem happened thats why i think that my headers cooked a plug wire or something but keep the suggestions comming guys im checking it all out! thanks again
