I want to remove ALL of the EGR stuff, please help.

I want to remove ALL of the EGR stuff, please help.

It always seems like its in the way. I want to remove the whole system. Anyone have a write up, or anything to help? Thank ya

There's really not much to it.
Some people just choose to disconnect the pipe going from the exhaust manifold to the back of the intake and block off the holes.
GM actually sells a block off cover for that pipe.
You can also take out the EGR valve, but then you'll have to fabricate or buy a special block off plate for it.

I'm doing headers this weekend and will block off just the pipe.

Since it is on the back of the intake manifold where you can barely even see it, how is it always in the way?

well im not talking about the valve on the back of the intake. Just the EGR piping on the exhaust manifolds. Think before posting J/K

The fittings on the exhaust manifold that seem to always be in the way have nothing to do with the EGR system. They are part of the AIR system. I guess I know what you are talking about, now.

OHHHH, well i want to remove all of that. I already took out the air pump. I feal stupid, sorry.
