Idle to low?

I have a 94 Formula A4. It idels between 500 and 600 rpms....is this normal or is it to low?

I believe the typical idle for an A4 is 650 rpm. Check for vacuum leaks as these could cause your idle to be off.

650 rpm in neutral, 550 rpm in gear are the original settings for idle rpm of an A4 car.

That sound about normal, the stock tachometer is known to be inaccurate by up to 200 rpms. I wouldn't worry about it unless it ran bad or it was randomly stalling out.

I agree, my a4 idles at about 550 rpm in gear and 650 in park, once warmed up.
