if i buy a K&N air filter
#2
If your just buying a K&N replacment for your stock filter. No it won't be a cone it will be a flat rectangle that looks like your stock one but with way less folds in the filter. They make stock style replacements for most kinds of cars.
If you want a cone one you need a CAI to put it on.

Personally, when I put the K&N in my box, I didn't feel any difference at all. That's until I got the Moroso CAI. When you get a CAI that's when you'll feel the difference (it comes with a cone filter). I would just save my $30-$40 from a plate filter, and put it towards a good CAI system.

yeah, it will b a rectangle like your airbox. IMO it is a worthwhile thing to buy, simply for the fact that you NEVER have to change it. u just buy a spray and oil (recharger kit) and clean it every 10,000 miles. that kit has lasted me about 30 times so far and i have a little less than a half bottle left(kit costs $10). it is a far cry from the CAI, do not buy just the filter in hopes of performance though, it is good for quality but not for HP.
