What do the o2 sensors on teh cats actually do.. Regulate the air pump?..
I no longer have O2's on the cats.
I bought aftermarket Cats with no o2 sensor hook ups..

first, aren't you throwing a code with no o2's? unless you have the sims
also, the o2 sensors are used in open loop mode
the air pump i believe is only used on warm up, so basically once it has done its job, the o2 sensors take over
if you !air, i think you basically make it take a little longer to warm up and throw an ses code

no codes are thrown.. THese are the O2's on the cats no the o2's on the back of the headers (or ypipe if u have the stock y pipe)

Re: If i removed the CAT o2 sensors do i negate my airpump?
The after-cat O2 sensors are only used to monitor whether the cats are working. The PCM compares the after-cat readings to the pre-cat sensor readings to determine if the cat is OK. There is no "regulation function"..... they jut provide data, the PCM looks at the data, and decides if the cats are OK. If you delete the after-cat sensors, or replace them with sims, it has no affect on the engine management system.
There is no need to "regulate" the AIR pump... as noted above, the pump only operates for the first 2 or 3 minutes at startup, to help the cats heat up faster. Then is shuts off. There is nothing to "regulate".
