If you have gotten rid of your A/C I need help!!!!

Hey Fbods. I have a 94 385 stroker I just got done building. This car is now a drag car and Im no longer using the other components (Power steering, and A/C) my question is about the Radiator. Yesterday I was trying to reinstall my radiator and I noticed some places near the cap were I think the A/C hose use to bolt up to. If you have gotten rid of your A/C what have you done with your radiator. If anything has to be done.

The A/C does not route into the radiator. The AC condensor is located right behind the radiator and lines run to it.

If you are seeing lines going to the radiator and you have an automatic tranny, you are seeing transmission cooler lines.

Ok. I have pulled that stuff out. So so I Leave it open or do I need to put a cap on it or something. And I have the transmission cooler lines squared away. I have them hooked up to a tranny cooler that a local tranny shop did. but there are still hooks up in the orginial place for that. So what Do I do for that

What are you referring to leaving open, the fittings on the A/C condensor or the tranny cooler fittings on the radiator? If it were me, I would cap them off, it just looks neater and keeps the elements out.

today i removed my condensor. i noticed out parts of the core support (didnt take away any structral integrity) to get the wire harness to move back a lil so i could move the raditator foward. now the radiator should be a lil over a inch further away from the engine. this will come in handy since i have a new CSR waterpump. so what i say is take out your condensor and sale it and move the radiator foward as much as you can. you will also have to either make a radiator upper support or drill new holes in the existing one. il post some pictures tomorrow.

You might want to start your own thread too.

I'd remove everything. I'd also pull the dash back and remove the heater assembly. That's gotta weigh 30 lbs. In a drag only car I'd also ditch the stock tranny cooler in favor of a better one.

I think i might have another challenge. As I have allready stated I have removed all AC componets. hoses etc.. Yesterday I was installing my water pump and I noticed that I was missing my upper bleeder valve. I searched and searched for it in my garage I coulnt not find it at all. I looked in the back of my truck where I put my hoses that I removed and there it was. I think that hose is attached to something related to the A/C or something. This upper bleeder valve is somthing I need. So what do I do please help
