If you have a vacuum leak, will the........

RPM's drop or rise when you cover the leak up? When I mean cover the leak up, I am atlking about maybe placing your hand over it to where there is no leak.

A vacuum leak may cause an engine to rev a bit righer than an engine with no leak.

A vacuum leak will cause and engine to idle rough

On a non-computer controlled car rpms would drop. On a computer controlled car they would also probably drop, but maybe not as much, because the computer would already be trying to compensate for the leak.
