Ignition Switch or the key lock and tumble??

Ive been having a slight problem the last few days, and it seems to me like the ignition doesnt want to stay in the on, position for my fuel pump to turn on, but soon as i turn it a lil bit more, all my lights starts to come on my dash board and all, as soon as i start my car, if i let the key go, it goes off, if i hold the key a bit, it will stay on, but only with my help.....?? is this the iginition switch .......or my lock and turn ign, hole......???

when that happened to me, it was the ignition switch. I didnt have issues with my lights, but when i let the key go back, the car would shut off. If i gave it some gas and fiddled with the key, i could get it to run eventually.

I replaced the key lock and cylinder and that did nothing.

Sounds like the ignition switch to me. You may be able to get a way with adjusting it. Very easy to replace though.

Sure, mine. I would not categorize it as very easy, but it's not very hard.

You might want to try moving the tumbler around while you have the rod disconnected from the switch, just to try and make sure you don't have an issue with that part of it.
