impressions of my 230/236 cam w/my 6 speed swap

well, with a 4l60e and 3.73's i ran the times n my sig with this cam. now, i swapped to a 6 speed and i have to tell u that i do not recomend this cam without having at least 4.10 gear. i have cam surge like a motha. i even have a 93 tranny that has a low geared (3.31) 1st gear and the car is hard to take off in with this cam.

just thought i would toss this out there for anyone considering this cam. it should also be known that my cam is on a 110 LSA too, so that may be part of the problem.

hope this is helpful to someone

How was that cam on a A4? Drivability? What stall/how big was it?
I'd love to hear a sound clip though a 110lsa

Thanks,
Robert

Well there is 4* more overlap than the standard 112lsa version of that cam so that is going to account for a lot of what you said. Also more tuning should help your drivablility issues.

with the A4, i LOVED this cam with 3.73 gear. it was great on the street and better on the track. on the dyno it spun to 6150, so i never had to rev too high. and it made the 341 RWTQ at 3300 RPM, so with my 3200 Coan stall and some DR's.....it was fun on the street!!!!

i know mine needs a little more tuning to get used to the M6. but the cam surge isnt all that happens. it is just harder to launch. it definately needs some more gear to be street friendly. just FYI's to anyone considering this cam
