injector question

Re: injector question
If your current tune is for 22-24# injectors, I would not recommend running it with 42#ers at all until you can get the correct tune flashed in. Thats almost double the amount of fuel and you will quickly ffoul plugs and ruin the cats if you have them...maybe even wash down the cylinder walls.

Just like they said. I got the same project going in...You will need it programmed and depending on what youre running you will have to have the fuel psi set around 42psi...but the programmer will be able to hook you up...

Re: injector question
With the proper tune, they will be fine for a daily driven car, most any high impedence injector will be fine for a daily driver with proper tune.
The PCM commands the injector to stay open a certain length of time, the pulsewidth commanded to the injector. The "tune" is what controls the injector pulsewidths. If you double the size of the injector, you do not need any more fuel at idle, so without changing the tune, the injector will stay open just as long as it did before with the smaller injectors, but the same length of time with double the injector size will mean almost double the amount of fuel.
The proper tune will cut the injector pulsewidth in half for the double sized injectors.
