installed a DIY CAI
well, i just got my do it yourself 4inch PVC pipe CAI installed tonight. it took me almost 2 hours since i couldn't figure out how to put the filter on the end.
i then took it down to my little 1/4 mile stretch of road and tried it out. now, since there isn't really a starting line or a finish line with speed sensors i don't know whether it helped or not but it did seem a little faster from mid-tach to redline.
so what should i expect at the track next time i go? i would be happy with 1-2 mph but am i dreaming?
as far as looks goes, it is not nearly as nice as a K&N or SLP but it should have the same effect for $170 less! i will probably try to paint it black so it doesn't look as if it belongs at a sewer plant.
i'd like to thank www.bfranker.badz28.com for hosting the resource pool of install guides.
thanks,
Michael.
