Who makes a good aftermarket intake elbow? Any brands have a performance benefit? I need a new one and i am looking.

No real performance gains with any of them...there are stock replacements, 1LE elbows (which look stock but are thicker and delete the Reinholz resonator aka dnokey dong at the bottom), and Trickflow makes an elbow that is metal and comes either shiny or dulled...

I would just buy an 1LE elbow. Sure the Trickflow and Vortech are nice but in my opinion they are not needed.

Get a 1LE Intake Bellow. It'll cost you about $55.

There is none. It's just an air silencer. With the 1LE bellow, despite people saying there's not a hp difference, I did notice a slightly quicker throttle response when I upgraded to the 1LE unit. Whether it gave up any extra hp remains to be seen. However, un-interrupted airflow isnt a bad thing.

Where the stock bellow has a hole in it that leads down into the donkey dong, the 1LE is sealed. Just chuck the donkey dong when you upgrade to the 1LE unit because you won't need it. And you'll save an ounce out of front end weight.

I have the Trickflow elbow. It's drilled and tapped for my NX shark nozzle. Looks nice. It was kinda pricey, but I don't have to worry about torn elbows anymore.

I got my 1LE brand new for $40 shipped...I just don't see the point in spending near $100 for an intake elbow...

Agreed! But at the same time, a metal elbow would be nice, because you'd only have to buy it once. Of course, it will only save you money in the long run. I just replaced my original elbow about 3 months ago. That intake elbow was about 10 years old, considering the car was built on November 11, 1993.

the vortech elbow made my ride sound like a hoover, looks great. Wish I would have waited and got the trickflow cause its ceramic coated. Also when My friends get a big head about a mod that made his faster, I toss the intake in the freezer overnight

Got a Vortech elbow for my car cheap, and it does make a lil diff. in throttle response, 1le elbow is ok but it too will suffer from deteriation, Go with the Metal 1 of your choice, Plus it looks damn cool
