intake manifold leak...in front....bad for opti?
well i have a small leak coming from the front of the intake manifold, i have new gaskets and RTV and just waiting for a buddy of mine to have time to give me a hand.....not sure how long its been leaking, its really not that bad. i have felt around the opti area, i havent felt any oil there but by no means does that mean its not there, its a 95 vented opti im sure, i just dont wanna risk messing anything up waiting on fixing this.....anyone

well its only got 12,000 miles. so i think its from sittin soo long without being run, seals/gasket must have dried up, its only like a drop or two every few days, im not low on oil or anything i check it alot to make sure. if i dont want to wait for my buddy to help out do i need any special tools to get down to the manifold area?

Are you sure it's the front of the intake manifold? The waterpump drive seal is a common leak area; you might want to double check the source of your leak before your pull the intake manifold off.

Mine is doing the same thing. Its leaking from the front and the back. Its getting really old cleaning up the messes in the garage everytime i move it. Im going tot have to do something about it. As for the opti, ive never heard of the oil leaking causing a problem. Maybe its just not THAT common of a thing to hear about. Im going to fix mine. Im not worried about the opti, I just cant stand my vehicles leaking anything. It just gives me the idea in my head that they are junk. I dont like to think my vehicles are junk though, even if they are.
