Intake questions...

I haven't got any CAI kits for my Z yet but every car I have had in the past has responded great to them and I hear the 8's respond even better. If you're trying to decide if it's worth the money... the answer is YES!! In a lot of cases, a CAI will prove more effective then a simple exhaust upgrade. Mileage will go up, you will notice a slight gain through the whole RPM range, and it compliments other mods very well.
Just imagine running a mile breathing only through a McDonalds straw v.s. breathing normally. You will pass out

I've had my SLP CAI on since July 1997, cost me $199.95. Good fit and finish. Sill using the same filters. Good "seat-of-the-pants" feel. They also offer a TB "flow booster" ($47.60). It is an hourglass shaped piece that bolts on to the front of the TB. It is supposed to smooth the air flow into the TB. They have a website www.slpeng.com.
You may also want to check out www.summitracing.com for prices on the K & N FIPK, which I also hear is good. Or you could check out one of hte other posts that exolain how to build your own CAI. I like mine, it was worth the money.
