I originally thought this was an exhaust leak, but I put my hand on my passenger side valve cover and felt an intense clicking, like the rocker was hitting something. I have the fatty 1.6 pro-mags and modified stock valve covers, so my guess is I didn't do a good enough job modifying the covers, or I have a loose rocker.

If its a loose rocker, would it sound like that? If so, how do I fix it? I have lashed rockers on a motor inside of the car so any advise would be great.

you need to crack open your valve covers and find out what's going on. it could be as minor as a rocker came loose or as major as a rod knock... hard to tell w/out seeing it in person.

do you have poly locs on the rockers? i spent an afternoon adjusting all of mine as good as i could and took it down the road and it sounded like my entire passenger head was falling apart. took the valve covor off and turns out i didn't tighten down the poly loc on the #8 cyl. stupid mistake-easy fix and back on the road

Take off the 4 centerbolts and yank off the valve cover, its the only way of knowing what is going on.
