Interested in an LT1 T56 SFI Bellhousing?

I was searching for new options. McLeod reportedly has a prototype, and is considering production.

McLeod is asking for fast LT1 guys who want SFI bellhousings to post in this thread, on their forum, to help convince the 'brass' to proceed. Pass the word.

Link fixed:

Main page linked. Go to 'bellhousings'. Newest listed last, so this is currently bottom of page 2, titled 'LT1 T56 SFI Approved Bell Housing'.

Need to sign up, but no email confirmation required so fast and easy.

Actually, it only says the rumor that a prototype has already been produced is false, not that there is no possibility of producing one for us. The same McLeod Super Moderator who wrote that (late last nite) also wrote this:

Find every fast LT-1 one guy on the net and have them chime in that they would buy a Mcleod LT-1 housing. The more people the Brass here at Mcleod see interested the better.

And this:

So the only way we can make a bell housing that will be competitive in the market place is to find a way to use an existing Modular Bell and modify to work with the LT application. Since Tanners accident this is a hot topic of discussion, I hope we can get on to work.

So, while they will not be tooling prog dies for an all new housing, they may still be persuaded to develop one off an existing set of stampings. As long as the OEM does the required modifications, and certifies it that way, there could still be a McLeod SFI bellhousing developed. So, I think we need to encourage them to want to do so.

I posted as well. After reading the post made by Bill do they expect to recoup there cost in a years time? That seems rather aggressive for a new product in the automotive world.

I don't know Taner personally, but from reading his thread on LS1tech I guess his clutch blew within the last week or two, but he is mostly fine. I understand it dented his tunnel out enough to move his gas pedal to a new home, and mashed his foot. There's a video of the run on this site, but posted under another username I can't remember. He is FAST, car even pulled a wheelie in 2nd.

He's a member here, too, in case folks don't know.

EDIT: I found his thread with the video link. And, yes, I guess he is rather fast. If you don't know who he is, note the Sig.

Posted over there as well. This should be put in other forums like Forced Induction and Nitrous if it isn't already...
