Interesting MAP issue/Possibly valve related???
Tinkering with the car today, didn't touch the valves since I had it running really good last time I messed with it.
Car started and immediately started surging. Threw a DTC 33, then after clearing threw a 34 later. Car was surging, not holding idle at all, and stalling. So I unplug the MAP sensor, and it's fine. No issues noted. So, first things first, I swap the map sensor from the purple car, and the same problem occurs.
Put datamaster on it, and the MAP sensor is showing a good BAR, and showing fine numbers when running. When I unplug it it drops to about a 3.6 In/Hg and the car runs fine. The service manual states that if the ECM notices the error and throws a DTC for the MAP that the computer and harness are both fine.
Of note, my vaccuum during this was hovering wildly (fluctuating a lot) around 6 In/Hg.
Did I get the valves too tight??? bang head That's the only thing I can think of, since the MAP checked out and the harness is good.

The MAP is just telling you what it is seeing. The computer does not like the values. You need to correct your vacuum problem. Tight valves will kill vacuum. I assume you have looked over all the vacuum hoses for leaks.
