Introducing our "old geezer" LT1 heads and cam package!
#18
This package is just for the sleeper effect..we do have 450+ rwhp heads and cam packages as well that sound like a top fuel car..but this specific package was designed for driver comfort and sleeper effect. If you want a really radical sounding power monster..we can do that too.
Glad to see other shops out there stepping up to the plate.

Pace setter long tubes with an off-road y pipe and a magnaflow cat back

We haven't tested the emissions legality of this package yet, Since there are no emissions here, it's hard to find a test car that hasn't had the cats taken off of it. I would think with it's it's very mild mannerism it would pass, but I can't guarantee that. The test car idles at 700-800 rpm and this package would be GREAT for an auto car.
that cam should pass with flying colors

I'm also doubtful that anything over 220/230 would pass in a 350 in CA. I've got test results with a baby cam that are marginal. I also find it hard to believe that a 220/226 has no lope, even on a 116.
I'm also a firm believer in "old geezer" packages as I have one myself. LOL

Last time I smogged my 383 with a CC305 the results were only marginally dirtier than average but it was with stock cats

have you heard of Dyno Don? Over at thirdgen.org i know there are several guys running cams and passing cali smog
superam 406 with 230/236 XFI cam making 380 whp passing fine
355 with heavily siamesed TPI, over 350whp with a 228/228 cam
another 355 with a 226/232 cam with heavily modded TPI and Superam. ran both setups to compare and TPI made abit more power. Also around 350whp.
Some strong running setups. Key is in the cat and the tune

here is the 226/232 on a 113 lsa cam idling
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFl84mKzGwM
not bad for a mid sized cam... has a tad lope. 116 lsa and less duration should idle like stock
