Is the 'package' emissions legal? IE, sniffer friendly? What does it idle at and how well will it work with auto trannys?

Out of curiosity, and this may be a stupid question, but these RWHP figures, what kind of exhaust is being used, if you care to disclose?
Glad to see other shops out there stepping up to the plate.

We haven't tested the emissions legality of this package yet, Since there are no emissions here, it's hard to find a test car that hasn't had the cats taken off of it. I would think with it's it's very mild mannerism it would pass, but I can't guarantee that. The test car idles at 700-800 rpm and this package would be GREAT for an auto car.

There are more aggressive setups running in california that are passing on 355's with 10.5 to 1 compression with 226/232 cams that are on a 113 lsa.

that cam should pass with flying colors

I'm also doubtful that anything over 220/230 would pass in a 350 in CA. I've got test results with a baby cam that are marginal. I also find it hard to believe that a 220/226 has no lope, even on a 116.

I'm also a firm believer in "old geezer" packages as I have one myself. LOL

The secret to getting cars to pass in California is a good working factory cat. I've seen many cars fail with small cams and high flow cats.

Last time I smogged my 383 with a CC305 the results were only marginally dirtier than average but it was with stock cats

superam 406 with 230/236 XFI cam making 380 whp passing fine
355 with heavily siamesed TPI, over 350whp with a 228/228 cam
another 355 with a 226/232 cam with heavily modded TPI and Superam. ran both setups to compare and TPI made abit more power. Also around 350whp.

Some strong running setups. Key is in the cat and the tune

here is the 226/232 on a 113 lsa cam idling

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFl84mKzGwM

not bad for a mid sized cam... has a tad lope. 116 lsa and less duration should idle like stock

Wouldn't it? 500rwhp N/A and stock idle aren't even in the same sentence.
