Jet Hot guys, y-pipe banging on floorboard?
It seems when I'm crusing about 70mph or so on the highway and gun it a little or a lot my damn y-pipe knocks the **** out of me for like 3-4 seconds. I'm running a Hooker Y-pipe and damn it wasn't a pleasent ride down to Bowling Green at all

I just installed a Jet-Hot header kit with the hooker Y-pipe. To alleviate the pipe from hitting the floor I had a muffler shop install a exhaust hangar that mounts on the trans support brace and connects to the passanger side pipe just before the Y. I have had no knocking with this. The hangar is a simple rubber and metal piece welded to the pipe and bolted to the crossmember of the trans.
On the other hand...my f#$%^'n collectors and headers are leaking like hell. I'm getting those fixed Monday. I guess each install has it's own special problems.
Anyhow, hope this tidbit helps.

headers
i fixed my banging flp's with poly engine and tranny mounts. the stock engine mounts were shot causing the front of the motor to sag down! the polys put it back to where it belongs and no more banging...
