just got back from track, need to go faster!

We went to Orlando Speedworld which is well known as a poorly preped track (some one with a 502rwhp TA can only pull a 12.9 there). Any advice on bettering my times?

Run1 Run2
RT .868 .774
60 2.488 2.328
330 6.824 6.440
1/8 10.224 9.778
MPH 72.75 73.26
1000 13.126 12.663
1/4 15.609 15.074
MPH 87.24 93.92

I need to better my time, I think I need to lower my 60' more, any advice?

Well your 60' sucks so a set of drag radials would help alot, but your mph isnt where it should be, even if your car was stock, what mods do you have? Might want to look into getting your car tuned and/or a good tuneup

what mods do you have? just a stock lt1 with 355ci?
judging from those numbers, you need traction.
get a set of drag radials and see how much that helps....
and get some practice, is your car A4 or M6?

After looking at your site and seeing your mods something is definitely wrong unless your are at a very high altitude. Just for comparison my car trapped almost 103 with a cai, gears, stall and a muffler, no headers or rockers. Just look into a tune up or get it scanned. A stall would be a good thing to look into also.

my first trip down the track ever i ran 15.0 at 104 with the same combo i have now.....the next time out i ran 13.9 at 106.....the traction was horrible. i dynoed 356rwhp/349rwtq SAE corrected
the same time i ran those slow numbers....
i could feel the car spinning in the top of 2nd gear at 70mph

i got some drag radials and changed a fuel pump (my stocker was crapping out at high rpm) and i ran the # in sig.

This man speaks the truth. With your mods you should be trapping in the 104-106 range even with the poor 60'.

Time for wires plugs coil fuel filter depending on when that stuff was done last. Other possibilities, your tranny is going, opti, fuel pump.

Give that poor ole dogg a tuneup or put her out of her misery

good luck.

i know that I have a valve tapping because the lash isn't right, so that might hurt. As for the coil, I have new one just not in yet, the fuel filter is pretty new, the tranny shifts fine and the opti is ok. The car also has a little leak in the intake elbow, might be the fuel pump, any way to check?

I put my money on ither the fuel pump or the one or more valves tapping. What do you guys think?

Guess I'll be teraing into it and replacing a bunch of crap, again :blah:

Orlando is a pretty crappy track. Still, you should be able to hit low 14's on a stock LT1. Fix your problems and bring the car to Gainsville in April. With some practice, you should be capable of getting a mid to high 13 second pass.

get a fuel pressure tester to test ur fuel pump i believe the right pressure should be around 40 to 44 pounds and if it is reading that you should be good

Most likely will be doing that this weekend. The car feels like it lost a lot of top end. It's beaten faster cars on the street before so I think the pump is just going out slowly. Also I'm going to put real valve srpings on instead of the stockers.

Seems like a engine problem deff......i second the tune-up idea. Do you have a lt4 knock module in there? your timing might be getting retarded.

Is it wrong that i cant help but laugh to myself every time i say: "your timing is retarded"

Edit: DAH! i just read that you have a knock.....thar be yer culpret, matie
