1996 | Z28 SS have you installed the cold air kit yet? Did you notice an improvement over the SS intake? I agree it looks better without it on there I was thinking of doing this Just want your opinoion. Matt

You could always turn the opening to the back....it would still pull in outside air but be less **** to catch water. The ramair effect with it turned foward is virtually nill anyway.

I fabricated an aluminum scoop for my lower splash shield and noticed an immediate improvement in power. Albiet, I am closer to stock than most... so any gain is very noticeable.

I have run ram air systems for years with never any rain or puddle issues. The benefit is that our cars are designed with the intake on the driver's side. Maybe if we were driving through puddles in Europe it would be a problem... but here they are all on the right side away from the air inlet.
