K&N question

Is the K&N filter replacement for the stock air intake box worth the money...like 42.00? Does it increase air flow more than your typical fram replacement filter?

Your sig says you have a CAI why does it matter..

But on the subject, my old car got like 2 mpg better gas mileage from one, 1990 toyota celica. As for performance gain, MAYBE 1 horsepower, but the reusable part pays for itself.

I believe there was a difference when I swapped in a K&N filter. The biggest problem is the tube leading away from the filter. All I did was buy a K&N filter and make my own tube. The car reved a lot better after that. You'll be amazed what the K&N looks like next to a stock air filter. If you got the money lying around, buy it. Your other opton is to save up for the whole K&N kit.

Sorry. It's not a question for my car. It's for a friend of mine. He has a stock intake.

Just clean the old one. Save the money and get the whole CAI kit.
