kNOCK COUNTS GOING TO THE MOON AT IDLE!
Just fired back up after a bottom end refresh and the addition of a set of Lloyd's heads. I now have knock counts going crazy at idle and pulling like 12 deg of timing. I installed a new knock sensor at time of rebuild since I destroyed the old one getting it out.
If I remove he sensor wire, the counts stop but PCM still pulls timing (probably a failsafe mode).
Any ideas?
Thanks
Steve

Not sure if this helps but I've read that roller rocker arms can cause false knock... is this what was installed in the heads that you put on? You can try an LT4 knock sensor or module... not sure which they use, but I'm sure someone will elaborate for us Good luck either way.
Oh yeah... do the knock counts go away as you go off-idle?

With the LT4 knock module, is it the same sensor that bolts onto the block? If so, what's the difference, just that the LT4 knock module is less sensitive or something? Again, if this is so, instead of using an LT4 knock module, can you just reprogram the PCM using TunerCat to pull less timing w/ knock or something like that?
