Knock sensor desensitization! need help!
I have a 97 Z28 6spd still has the OBD2 PCM in and I am getting lots of false knock (already confirmed this), and would like to desensitize so I get as little knock retard as possible. I have read up on some info regarding this including a how to section on project transam.com which was hard to understand and only listed this for 93-95 LT1's. Does anyone have any info on how to do this to a 97 OBD2 car? or does the same method apply? If so can someone put this in easier to understand terms?
Thanks

A lot of people replace the stock LT1 knock module (not knock sensor) with the LT4 version of the module. It's cheap enough (~$28 from GM Parts Direct) and is less sensitive.
The knock module is located inside the PCM on the OBD II cars.

I already have the LT4 knock module and PCMforLESS tuning. I am more referring to doing it myself using that resistor type method of the knock sensor wire. Is this possible on the OBD2 cars and if so can anyone explain this a little mroe clearly to me?
Thanks
