Stainless is just as effective as Jet-hot for taking away the heat.

I will add something.
I was told by Nick @ Kook's, that coating on stainless headers has no real benefit and has a tendency to come off at a much faster rate than mild steel headers. Is there any truth to this statement?
I would like to get my Kook's headers coated, but he advised otherwise.

Depends on the steel, I had my SLP stainless headers coated, I belive they were 409 stainless? The coating stuck on there real good! It never even came close to comming off. However there was prolly more ferrous material in the SLP headers the kook's, aren't kook's 304 stainless?

Hey Deenasty, how about some pics of these things installed. I saw another post where you had some links to pics, but they were dead. If you can email me some, I can probably put them up. Or if you could fix those links LOL. I really want LT's on my lowered car and I would love to see what type of clearance there is. You say you don't have any trouble on yours and I believe you, but I would still like to see them installed. I just keep thinking about my buddy's TA with Hookers and a mufflex y. Man, I can follow him and it looks like the dang exhaust is falling out from under the car. (it is still stock hight)
