LE2.5/306 install times?
Ok, Check my mods list, I just got to the track with this combo LE2.5/ 306.
My best time on the stock motor was 13.3, but friday I went to Milan, Mi. The best I ran was a 13.00 on the motor with a 2.00 60ft I spun for the first 60 -90 feet.
What do you think? I should be running alot fast then that N/A
Track prep sucked along with bald Drag radials could be the cause because the car was pulling hard.

Thats what Lloyd told me, low 12's even high 11's with everything thats done. I'm going to Norwalk this saturday we'll see how it goes there. The track prep is amazing there.

Track times are about car prep not power.... you can have the power and never use it or you can have a well setup car and not enough power.
I have a buddy who goes 11.29 @ 119 on a STOCK LS1 motor with bolt ons because the car is setup by Billingsley and it's tuned etc.... He puts down very good short times and he probably makes at the most 360rwhp. It's all about car setup.

i agree to a point. trap speed is all about power and times is a combination of power, traction, and driver. How can 360 rwhp run 119 mph? At some point, your speed will hit a wall unless you start making more power.

Sixty's were 2.0 but as stated in the first post I was spinning for about 60- 90 feet. Bald BFG DR's and bad track prep are probably the reason. The car weights about 3600.
But what I saying is that I ran a 13.3 stock motor @ same place, same temp outside, then I did the h/c swap and ran a best 13.00. It's just to be traction and prep.

Re: LE3/306 install times?
It's probably closer to 370rwhp... never been on the dyno. 119MPH and 3200lbs equates to 425hp at the flywheel. It is still a bolt on LS1 though. (4th fastest at that) At 3200lbs it's a tad bit light.... but I'm not making this up. The thing is just set up REALLY well.. It's the difference between a dyno queen and someone who has been working hard on getting the car to run perfect down the strip... it takes lots of work. You don't just GET good ET's and MPH because you have more power, you have to work at them and most people neglect really good suspension setups... you can have all the parts but not have them dialed in for your car.
