le3 383 wont stay running

here is what i finally got. this is before starting. battery is now too low to start. notice the iac and desired idle.

I just realized its not very clear, but you should still be able to read it.
the IAC is pegged at 160, and the desired idle is 3187.
The idle looks kinda........off......

IAC and desired idle are normal looking for a non-started engine. I had to cut and paste the URL into another window to be able to read it. A link would be better.

ah okay......well I guess when the battery is charged again I can do some scanning then with it running.

I did drill a 9/64" hole for the IAC bypass, but haven't been able to test it yet.

I also noticed something funky with the intake. Its a LE ported intake that I goit used......
and the common area the the idle air flows into the spreads it into the cylinders.....has been ported so that it connects to the upper intake area. I'll take a picture tommorrow in the light, but I am guessing that doesn't help the idle quality.

well I think the chambers are flooded, can I just unplug the injectors and crank it over to clear them ou?

Put the throttle on the floor when you go to start it..... that puts the PCM in "clear flood" mode, and it shuts the fuel almost off.

Have you hooked up a vacuum gauge to it at all? Either that or read your MAP value and subtract it from the Barometric pressure.

MAP and BAR both read 1 when its not doing anything.....

Haven't gotten it to start since I got the laptop connected
battery died again, so its charging right now

I'm not familiar with what software you are using, but when I used AutoTap the other day after putting in my new motor, Barametric pressure was 29.xx and MAP was reading 9.4 or so, so I had roughly 20 inches of vacuum at idle. I'm not familiar with newer automatics but on older cars it was generally a sign of a vacuum leak when a motor would die when dropping it into gear. Also would explain your no brakes issue as well. Even the LE3 should have vacuum maybe around 8-10 inches at least I would think, but I don't know anyone who has had one so I can be for sure.

I really dont think the brakes is an issue at all........I think its just air in the lines.
without the engine running I can somewhat easily put my foot to the floor with the brakes. With the engine running it goes to the floor with almost no force.

When I do get a chance to run it on thursday I will try autotap

My LE3 383 has about 8 inches of vacuum at idle.
As for getting it to stay running, it sounds like you need to adjust your TB until your IAC counts are down. Don't forget to reset your TPS after.

Unusual for an aggressive cam of any sort to pull more vacuum than the stocker??????

I was thinking the same thing when I read that. The stock motor I just put in pulls around 20.

If you can put your foot to the floor easily with the car off or running then there is something wrong with your brakes in my opinion. When I was bleeding my brakes the other day it was hard as a rock.

I'd agree with you. I was just looking at the Datamaster logs @ idle. I've also never had any issues with braking.
