What about these form Summit Racing CRN-10530-16 $189

will they do the job?
Personally I wouldn't change them, but as long as those aren't "R" lifters and are OEM replacements they will work.

The oil pressure is good 28-30 psi at idle and 60-65 at WOT so I don't think it is in the bottom end.

Sounds like ya floated the valves and damaged something. Better check all of them.
Might have bent a valve to just a bent pushrod.

Re: Lifters collaspsing

I have checked all the push rods way back I just needed to know if these crane lifters would do CRN-10530-16 and now you and Summit have confirmed it thanks I will let you know if it does the trick.

Thanks for giving me some support and guidance.

Hopefully this will do it!

Or it's an engine out job!

I will keep you posted!

Re: Lifters collaspsing

I dropped the oil pan off the motor and found the problem my oil pump pickup is partley blocked by a piece of rubber that has no buisness being in the pan and I have spun a con rod bearing due to low oil volume.

As I said in previous post the whole motor looks like it's been starved of oil and I have this black flakey crud every where. My brother says thats the lack of oil then it gets baked on and goes flakey.

I have now replaced the crank with a stock one I got from a guy who builds stroker motors who lives close by. I have put new mains and con rod bearings in and a new Melling oil pump with a new metal coupling oil pump drive.

I have new lifters in there and I have just bought some secondhand LT4 valve springs.

I am thinking of putting a LT4 Hotcam in there but is there any other cam I cam use with the LT4 valve springs? Bear in mind I have 1.6RR's too!

So what lift cam will these springs handle?

Also I think problems with comp R lifters become because of bad preload (turns).. I don't know what is the exact preload, but compcam suggest 1/16 turn..
Agreed... however the preload will vary depending on thread count of the rocker studs.

Re: Lifters collaspsing

I have these Crane roller lifters CRN-10530-16

I don't have comp R'

If I don't use my 1.6 RR's I think I can use a couple of other cams such as thr CC305 CCr 503

I have cheap 1.6RR's (NO name steel roller rockers) and I did not notice any gain from fitting them!

If I went for one of the above cams I would see benefit from a longer duration cam?
