Hey guys,

I got these set of gauges off of ebay for my '93 Z28, put 'em on and everything but now I have to wire them up. They came with a wire coming from the gauges to a black box which from the box comes out one red(+) and one black(-) wire and then theres another wire that comes out and goes to a switch box(so that I can switch the gauges from green/blue and fade).

The only problem I am having is I don't know which wires to attach the positive and negative ones to. I want to attach them to the harness on the light switch in my car so that they come on when I turn the switch(like the other lights in my car) but i'm not sure which wires will do that. The harness was labeled with letters for each wire that was coming out of it(I was gonna splice into which ever I needed for this). Here are the letters with the color wires that I have:

D=Black
E=Yellow
F=Tan
H=Orange
J=Red
K=Brown

G was the only letter without a wire and any other letters were just skipped.

Well, I guess people weren't very sure. I just went ahead and test all the wires...for anyone who ever does a search about this, to wire gauges so that they come on with the parking lights and the head lights your ground wire is the black one(D) and the wire you want your positive going to is the Brown one(K). I also recommend disconnecting the battery when you do this or you might be in for a little suprise if you aren't careful .
