Just like everyone else says, huge nice kn filter that does take up dang near the whole area and nice clean black intake tube. Very easy install, got delivered quick, cheap, and lingenfelter people were nice. Cool sound and did hold the gears longer, if felt like anyways. I added the free ram air mod when i put it on also.

yea guys, just to let you know i did a search and dug this thread up and i just ordered mine, i cant wait. i hope it fits good and doesnt make my hood stick up and gives me about 10whp or so. it advertieses 12 hp and 25 on modified engines so i want about 10 or so that would be awesome. plus i think ofne of you said you gained .3 and 3mph in the quarter thats one hell of a bang for buck that is 3 tenths in the quarter man thats like toing from a 14 flat to a 13.7 man thats a hell of a mod! i want mine to do that too!

Remove the air dam and splash panel. Remove the stock intake. Put the flat plastic piece in place and feed the filter up from below. Put the CAI into the intake elbow or onto the MAF depending on your car and into the filter and clamp it together and put on the air pump hose. At this point I found out I had to trim the flat plastic piece so it would fit properly. Then I drilled a couple of holes to hold the flat plastic piece in place. I also clearanced the metal box that holds the cruise control module so it wouldn't interfere with the filter (that's my only real complaint with the LPE CAI) using my Dremel and a cut off wheel. Then replace the splash panel and air dam and you're done

yea i read your post about it and that is one hell of a mod if it did that for your car man 3mph and 3 tenths in the quarter thats quite a big hp mod! yea i will let you know. i should be getting it sometime this week hopefully wed or thursday. is it hard to isntall. i think someguy said he had to drill holes and stuff. i thought it was pretty much jsut taking the stock intake out and putting the new cai intake in? should be pretty simple i hope an hour or so!

It takes about an hour. Don't know about cutting or drilling, I didn't have to do any of that. And yes mine hits the hood too.
