Locking Header Bolts WHICH ONES??

Re: Locking Header Bolts WHICH ONES??
Looks like I will be using the Breslin's as well, alot of people swear by them.
A Note: In 1975 I put a set of Appliance Headers on my Corvette, they came with header bolts and lock washers. Now these lock washers were not like any I have ever seen before, small in dia. but thicker than any I have ever seen. I have never had one back out, ever. I have taken the headers off and had them coated and reused those lock washers and still no problems, I did replace the bolts with SS allen heads though. Still to this day no leaks or loose bolts.

I just use the arp 3/8 x 1" long hex head stainless bolts on my flp headers. I did have to cut one of the bolts for each side to around 3/4". They have worked perfect. You should check the header bolts every once in awhile anyway, since it goes thru a lot of heat cycles.
But, those chromoly bolts with the hex center from summit look awesome. I wonder if they rust?
