This look like a good winter mod list?

Any tips or possible changes would be much appreciated. Just basically going for a fast street car.

CAI
Jet Hot long tubes w/ hooker Y pipe
cc306 cam
1.6 rr
some minor head work
Vig 3200 stall
Cut out

Car is a a4 94 trans am w/ flowmaster exhause.

Any idea on dyno #'s?

well, as far as hp, many questions to ask.

w/ stock computer, are you going to change rev-limiter? (rev higher than stock?)

w/ stock programming and *SOME MINOR HEAD WORK* which really means nothing to anybody; you could dyno anywhere from 340rwhp to 400rwhp depending on how much you spend on the heads. I would be more afraid for your bottom end running at the rev's you need to for a cc306.

Anyone in here w/ a cc306 in a auto w/ stock programming? I didn't think it would idle on an auto.
Im sure others will chime in too.

Looks like an eventful winter list to me....don't forget about small things like header gaskets, valve springs, etc. Just some things that'll add to the price tag for speed As for dyno numbers I'd guess around 370rwhp with minor headwork. I hope to get close to 400rwhp with an xe230/236 and a good port job from Loyd

also to 96lt1tx do you know of any cam that would be a little less rough on my bottom end? But still give me some good performance like the cc306 would?

Yeah I'm running a CC305 cause I didn't want to have to go to 7k on a 99k mile stock bottom end. Rev limiter set at 6400 rpm, shift at 6300 rpm. When I have the money to rebuild the internals, I'll probably go w/ the CC306. I hear the XE 224/230 is a good cam, but then again, There are guys running mid 12s right on this board w/ a CC305 and LT headers and stock heads, faster than any stock headed Hot cam I've seen. Going to the track sooin, hopefully I'll be there (mid 12s).

GRITTER - I've heard good things about the XE 230/236 as well. It's a pretty decent cam from what I hear. Haven't had any personal experience with it though, but some people swear by it.

I am about to put the XE 230/236 in my car myself. Stock programming will work (wont make max power, but will work) on a M6; anyone know if it will work on a A4? Im not even sure if there is a difference, but it is known for being very torquey and having a very broad powerband, and my favorite part is it makes max power by 6000-6200 which is why it is good w/ stock bottom end. for RR's get 1.6 cc pro mags. I just installed them, they are money. you should check out cmotorsports.com and see if you can get in on a combo purchase, they have good prices sometimes.

Sounds like a pretty sweet mod list man. hopw everything works out for you in the end. But yah it will more than likely come down to the extent of the head work if you want to hit 400H

Good Luck,

Don't wanna burst you bubble dude.....as far as rwhp I would figure somewhere around 360. I saw somehwere someone say to forget about springs or something. YOU WILL NEED new springs with that cam especially with that much mileage. The reason I say about 360 is because you said minor headwork. To get the full potential outta that cam, you will need some GOOD head work so it will flow better.

But I do say this....you will be in the 12's. But this is JMHO.

Good luck.

I think the 306 is a good choice. Im sure he knows that he needs springs, good to at least .600 lift with that cam, probably want 1.6 rockers, new lifters, etc... It will be expensive, but if done right it should be a sweet car.
