Angry lost all my tranny fluid tonight, I hope I'm not screwed - 700R4 problem

Ok here's what happened. I was driving around town because we got a decently nice day here. I wasn't even beating on the car or running it hard, so I don't see how this happened.

But anyway, the metal cap that covers the governor gear assembly on the 700R4 somehow came off, and all of the fluid leaked out of there. I lost the majority of it at a red light while i was sitting there. Then I shut the car down and pushed it into a parking lot.

All of the fluid that came out, even at the very end before we got it on the flatbed truck was red and didnt smell burnt at all. Nothing from the tranny itself smelled bad, and my trans temp guage didnt go up past 180-190 degrees.

Hopefully when I get the cap back on and secured good, fill it up with fluid, I'll be ok

You temps probably didn't go up because they're wasn't any fluid in there for it to keep a temp.
