There is the thing, for every inexperianced person swearing the opti gives up if you even think about 6500 that is someone experianced taking it beyond that.
Someone posted here about riveting the electrode to the rotor and then taking it to 8500 reliably, why don't you guys remember things like that? Others are taking them to 7500 without any modification atall. People remember what they choose to.

I will say a multicoil system is better on paper and may be marginally better inpractice but is NOT anywhere near as necessary as most would have you believe.

It wasn't too bad to do. I think the hardest part was to find a good place to put the coils. I ended up putting mine under the cowel with some of the brackets made by thunder racing for ls1 cars. Worked great and looks clean!

I have tried it all, from the pop rivet mod to the MSD cap and rotor.
My car runs AWESOME with the LTCC system.
It runs like a fresh tuneup all the time.
It's super smooth through the entire rpm range.
I would not trade it for anything.

You have to keep in mind most new engines are going that direction. Do you think it is because of higher rpm?

That being said, I have a LTCC setup waiting to go in my car once motor goes in.
