low end torque
well here is the concern . . im so close to geting a true dual setup but i got one last question . . my setup will consist of jet hot lt into a 2.5 x-pipe into bullet mufflers plus turndowns and it will end at the rear end (not going over the axle). . well heres the qusestion . . folks that have this setup have you noticed a lost of lowend torque because i still want alot of throttle responce . . .for horse powere would it be better to go with jey hot Lts with a loudmouth setup?? let me know what you think i should do . . im hopeingget more horsepower from the x pipe because i really what that setup . . plus i wanna be herd smashin down the street . .lol . . .thank u for the replys

Go with true duals.
Remember its not really that you loose low end torque, it makes the power more linear, meaning the power is distributed more evenly...it will make more power, be faster, and will still fly off the line like a raped ape. You have an LT1, dont worry about torque my friend, thats the least of your worries.

3 inch will be louder and deeper, plus make more power, 2.5 is actually plenty but many people tend to go big instead. I say go with what your ultimate goals are, if your planning on running 500 horses then go with 3 inch, if your shooting only for 400 then 2.5 will work just as well. Of course it depends on how loud you really want it and the other factors. 3 inch duals and bullet racing mufflers will attract plenty of attention, its quit cool to see every head turn around you when you just give part throttle let alone full. Since your in Cali, how do you intend on passing with longtubes, do you have connections? If it were me I wouldn't go the loudest setup, as this will attract the police, and they might notice the setup, unless your area is not so bad with the cops, also remember there is a fine up to 5000 bucks if they discover the cats missing, might want to put some on or some gutted ones-just something to think about.

You get more gains from having a cutout because it by-passes the entire muffler system and even the catalytic converter (if you can get it to fit)
That's why I almost just want to go with the cat-back that I believe has the best sound and just have a cutout...
Anyone else?

well I went with two cutouts right after the header collector, this way I just uncap at the track and maintain both worlds. From a couple dynos posted on here it seems that true duals gain more power over aftermarket catbacks, and with two cutouts you are really going to get some good results
