Low MPH???
Me and a couple of my friends went out to Memphis Motorsports Park thursday night for their weekly TNT. Dropped the pressure in the ET streets and my best run looked something like this:
R/T.. .122
60'.. 1.881
330.. 5.593
1/8.. 8.696
MPH.. 79.34
1000.. 11.401
1/4.. 13.706
MPH.. 97.56(Low MPh??)
It seems to me that no matter If I dead hooked or spun a little I could not trap higher that 97 MPH, this MPH seems to low for the mods in sig. What could be causing this? Please Help!!

if you think thats bad, I have a couple of more minor mods than you and on a good cool night at 50 feet above sea level I can only get 97 max ( closer between 96 and 95mph). All thanks to this shiatty Impalla cam in my car. Oh well. once I get time and money one day, that'll change.

The air was actually great last night, I would say around 60-65 degrees out and not much humidity at all. Could something be wrong with my car causing it to lose a little on the big end, or does my 1/8 mile MPH look low too?

these were the weather conditions at the track I ran at earlier last month:
50*F
relative humidity:100%
Absolute Barometer:30.27
You might benefit from some tuning at WOT, I know I need it in a bad way as I am running still on the stock PCM programming.
if you are under 14secs in the 1/4, w/ your mods you should be trapping over 100mph if not right at it...only thing I can think of is tuning...

They seem a little low but when I was mostly stock I ran 14.02@97.5 and that was as fast as the car would go. 97.5mph
Now I have run 13.1@104 and people say that this is very low also.
So who really knows?
Just my o2

You're 1/8th mile ET/MPH look fine, it looks like your car isn't pulling as hard in the last 1/8th mile of the track. A catback would definitely help with that. Your 1/4 mile MPH may be a little low because you're not spinning your tires at all when launching. Generally if you really stick to the track, your MPH will be a little lower than if you were spinning. Plus the only real power adder you have is CAI.
Just my thoughts.

I have 3 inch from the cat back, and then it is just dumped right after the axle, so the stock exhaust has long been replaced. I know a muffler or even a resonator wouldnt flow as good as the single 3 inch dumped. I dont know I was just expecting to trap atleast 100 with the mods I have.

Take it to a Jet Dyno and find out whats going on w/ your car up top, spend about 80$ for 3 pulls...its worth it if you have questions that are just hard to answer...

Yes it feels like it pulls just like it always has in 3rd gear. Yes you read the reaction time right, it was not a red light they had some kind of different reaction time thing, almost like .100 was a perfect light? Everybody there was wondering what was up.

?(did I read that reaction time right to .122???
There are some tracks that now take .000 to be perfect. Well even NHRA does that this year on all the pro races. Some tracks are switching away from the .500 perfect light, or .400 if you run a super class.
