LOW TRAC light
Iwas driving home last night,and when I pulled into the driveway,this low trac light came on for a few seconds,then went off.This is the first time in 6 years of ownership that this has happened.So,I got the manual out,and here is what it says;
When your anti-lock system is working,the message LOW TRAC will appear on your instrument cluster.This means that slippery road conditions may exist.Adjust your driving accordingly.The light will stay on for about four seconds after the ABS stops working.The LOW TRAC light also comes on during engine starting as a bulb check.
I've never noticed that light before,but what I don't understand is,why does the abs disconnect when the road is wet,I thought it was for that purpose?Anybody know?Maybe I read it wrong.da.

Did you drive over some gravel or anything loose on the road? Sometimes if I'm driving and hit the brakes kinda hard on gravel or wet roads it will kick the ABS on and the Low Trac light will light up like yours did.

You must have read wrong.
The low trac light comes on when the tires start to lock up- abs kicks in to make sure they don't- basically, when the low trac light is on, the abs has been activated, not deactivated. For testing purposes, you can always drive down a gravel road and stab the brakes a couple times to make sure it's working right.
