Is the low trac light point less, or dose mine just not work?????

I have seen my low trac light come on before, but only when I have slamed on the brakes really hard. Is that all it dose??? Is it suddosed to come on anyother time??? This light seems to be pointless.

Same here... Mine only pops on when the ABS activates. I can spin the tires all I want and it does not come on. My car is an early 95 car so it didn't come with the option of Traction Control.

Why would the ABS kick in at low speeds, like backin out of the driveway, without even having the brake applied?

omfg... LOW TRACTION light comes on when your car has LOW F*CKING TRACTION!

If you take a turn going fast, and you lose traction, the LO TRACTION LIGHT will come on!

Mine comes on whenever the rear wheels brake loose. IT got annoying so i disconnected the bulb in the dash. I figure if you don't know you tires are losing traction then you shouldn't be drivin the car.

I know it comes on when you lose tracation. But some peaple say it only comes on with the ABS kicks in, but that is not true. What is the point is what i'm saying. We don't have TCS but we have low trac i don't see the point.

Mine comes on with ABS, and anytime the tires spin when they shouldnt be.

For example, if i do a burnout, the light will not come on. However if i downshift and lock up the tires for a brief second, it will come on

Dude, they have medication out there that will help your anger management problems!! Seek Help!
Anyway, on to the point of the post.....my current car is a 95 Formula A4 WITH traction control. My low traction light comes on if I spin the tires OR lock up the brakes making the ABS activate. My old 95 Z28 w/o traction control would only come on if I locked up the brakes & the ABS were activated.

I'm not stating as to why the light comes on, but...

Low traction does not just mean when you are excellerating.

Low traction is when you have low traction. Regardless of whether it is braking, car sliding , or downshifting. If the wheels slip, loose adhesion , etc., you have low traction.

I've only seen mine come on when I was sliding in the snow. I've hit the brakes hard and never saw it any other time. It seems pretty pointless, I can tell when the car is sliding without a light in the dash.
