I think I had a bad luck of viewers if you ask me.

Here is one thing you ALL should note is that I came on here for help.

THATS IT

What I got was far from it till Drew24 finally gave in and assisted.

All I wanted to do was get some info on helping my idea happen.

I don't need any suggestions on my attitude cause if you look in the very beginning I was nothing but nice.

The responses I received is what caused my defense ... rightfully so!!

I was not trying to sell you on a K&N FIPK. Anyone knows that the LS1 or even the Ultra Z hood does not flow THAT much air through the hood. I was just telling and showing that it can be done and was done a long *** time ago. You may also notice that in 2002 I was running a truck/Corvette MAF....

Ryan - I know you were just trying to show me the set up ... I appreciate it! I am going to find me the LS1 radiator support, install the LS1 SLP CAI intake set up and I will be all set! It just seems obvious that it would be better then what I have now (LT1 SLP CAI)

Thanx again for your reply!

I finnished up this install a few months ago, did it with a stock Z28 hood. It was a tight fit under there and a good amount of work but I thought it turned out pretty nice. I noticed a big difference in throttle response after it, I had an SLP CAI before. I plan to eventually add a ram air set up to it, pulling from down near the radiator air dam. I followed a guide that was posted on another site, here are some pics of mine:

Just as a side thought/comment...

You already have an ultra-z hood which is very similar to the WS6 setups. Why don't you just use a airbox similar to that of the WS6 cars which is similar to the LSx setups?

If you're worried about airflow I wouldn't be... I'm not sure how much different the ultra-z hoods are, but with my de-baffled WS6 hood and my air-filter removed... I can see my TB blades though my nostrils. Can't get much better of NA air intake setup than that.
